About Us

Starf Online was launched in September 2008.  Starf® - founded in 1998, was based on the idea that managing staff is a day-to-day process and managers must have an integrated system that effectively provided them with the structural support they must have to be effective.  We have created an integrated set of tools that allow people to focus on what is important, making the emotional job of human resource management, for large and small employers, simple.

We know to do that, staff need to realise what is important and managers can have a simple tool to help them. The tool must be clever through its simplicity, it must be relevant (so it’s easy to get agreements with staff about what works), it must be systematic (so it can be improved), be efficient (to save time in the process) and be best practice (to reduce risks).

Starf is Global and has a reputation for being a leading provider of best practice human resource consulting, training and software.

The goal of Starf is to continue as the world’s leading best practice online HR tool for employers. Starf provides the best possible way to create alignment with your human resource and with Starf, you can use the information collected to continually improve the performance of your business. Our customers make the best decisions, it’s that simple.

Unlike our competitors, we achieve the best ROI (Return on Investment) for our clients' human resource, we maintain a lean in-house team of committed professionals and provide a flexible system that works best to manage our customers’ business goals.

We source support and infrastructure from carefully selected suppliers and source our sales and marketing through a network of Licensed Sellers. We certify independent Starf Pro® Coaches and Trainers as well as license those who may be working with our larger client organizations. Starf Coaches and Trainers intern with us under supervision to a certified standard.

At Starf we understand our customers benefit by our willingness to transfer our knowledge.

News and Blogs

November 2008 - World first online human resource service revolutionises recruitment and performance management activities.

Starf Online is the first online recruitment and performance management service for small to medium sized businesses. It reverses the conventional hire for skills, fire for values adage.

Starf Online is a revolutionary new system that gives managers the tools and support to effectively and efficiently manage people. It also adds an enormous degree of understanding and structure to the art of human resources.

The system is based around clearly defined job descriptions which include measurable success and failure measures for each skill area. These job descriptions become the yard stick whereby performance can be easily monitored and improved by both employer and employee.

Performance reviews and performance management become an exciting and inspiring opportunity for all parties. Bad hires are minimised, workplace morale improves and the level of respect that employees have for their managers and the business increases.

Company founder, Ranald Hendriks says he got the idea from over 20 years of consulting to business in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, USA and Germany, and probably making every mistake when running his own businesses – that there was a real need for structural support  to assist managers in creating agreement with their employees and profit for the shareholders. “We’re not taught how to manage, so it tends to be emotions that run the employment relationship and Starf® will change all that.” says Mr Hendriks.
